学名：Sanguisorba officinalis
原産地： Northern Hemisphere in Europe, northern Asia, and northern North America.
根は地楡（ちゆ）という生薬でタンニンやサポニン多くを含み、天日乾燥すれば収斂薬になり止血や火傷、虫刺されの治療に用いられる。
Great Burnet is ethnomedical. Specifically, the root is used to stop bloody dysentery, and is applied topically to treat burns and insect bites.
